Hey Simon, so Long, and Thanks for all the Holdouts

"Eagles announced Sunday night that they have withdrawn the franchise tag on defensive tackle Corey Simon, meaning that he is now an unrestricted free agent."

...But they HAVE the money to make pretty much EVERYONE happy. I think they should've either signed Corey long-term or let him sign the 1-year tender, which he would've had to do eventually. Even though the other DTs have been playing well, it's just preseason, they're all somewhat injury-prone, and they ain't pro bowl caliber. (At least Simon's departure clears the way for Hollis to actually reach some of his incentives -- maybe it'll encourage him to play even harder, and it's just fun to watch a guy that big move so quickly around the field).

It's all just so frustrating... It's like the organization trying to see how far under the cap they can get, even if they're short-changing us fans in the process.
